Duke Clinical Research Institute
We assisted Duke's Clinical Research Institute in development of a CBT to educate young patients and their parents on the cause, effects of and treatment strategies for hypertension. Application delivery was a hand-held device, personal digital assistant (PDA).
Our team provided instructional modules, one for ages 6 to 12 yrs and one for 13 to 17 yrs. Participants received a total of 16 sections, end-of-lesson tests, and an opportunity to record side-effects in a diary and set calendar reminders for drug dosing. It included multimedia components for audio and video and was delivered in English and Russian.
